For more than twenty years—long before “public health” became a headline, a flashpoint, or a national talking point—I carried a quiet hope: that one day, our field would have a single, unified home. A place where practitioners, students, researchers, and policymakers could find clarity instead of chaos. A place where information lived in one ecosystem, not scattered across dozens. A place where public health professionals could spend less time searching for what they need, and more time doing the work they were called to do.

The State of Public Health is the beginning of that dream made real.

I started envisioning this platform in college, when I first realized how much brilliance existed in our field and how hard it often was to find it, connect it, or act on it quickly. Over the years, I’ve watched extraordinary public health professionals labor under fragmented systems, outdated tools, and siloed networks that were never designed for the urgency our work demands. We’ve always deserved better. And the communities we serve deserve better still.

This platform was built to honor that truth.
